The Bible encourages you to be baptized to be saved from God’s wrath. For example, Jesus said to His disciples, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved, but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned” (Mark 16:15, 16).

And so we see that when you believe the gospel of Jesus Christ and prove it by being baptized, you will not be condemned by God. Instead you will be saved. You will not go to hell. You will not receive God’s anger. You will not receive God’s WRATH for your sins (Jesus received God’s wrath for your sins on His cross). Instead you will receive God’s GRACE. He will favor you. You will receive a pardon from God, the Judge of all men. You will receive the forgiveness of your sins. You will receive the hope of going to heaven some day to be with Him. If you truly repent of your sins (SEE Lk 24:47), you will be saved. You cannot continue in sin and still be saved. You must separate yourself from your sins. You must repent.

But What Is Baptism?

What does it mean? Is it sprinkling? Is it pouring? Is it dipping? How do you do it? Are there verses in the Bible which help to define this word? Are there examples in the Bible which help to explain what this word baptism truly means?

Do you believe in Jesus Christ? Do you believe that He is the Son of God? Do you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead? If so, I encourage you to understand what baptism truly means. Then you can truly be baptized to be saved. But how should you be baptized? How do you do this? How does it happen? Do you know how to be baptized to be saved? When you complete this self-test worksheet, you will know how to “be baptized, and wash away your sins” (Ac 22:16). I encourage you to be baptized as soon as you understand who Jesus is. Rick David
