The Bible encourages you to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus to be saved. For example, in the gospel of Jesus Christ it says, “Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved” (Ro 10:13). But from what will you be saved? Through the name of Jesus Christ, God will save you from your sins [for example, your unbelief, your sexual immorality, adultery, fornication, perversions, lying, stealing, idolatry, magic, murder, covetousness, profanity, sensuality, etc. SEE 1 Cor 6:9, 10 and Rev 21:8].

Through the name of Jesus, God will forgive you. He will grant you a pardon for all of the sins which you have committed against Him and all of the sins which you have committed against all others, if you truly repent (SEE Lk 24:47). You cannot continue in these sins and still be saved. You must separate yourself from them. And so you will be saved from God’s WRATH (Jesus received God’s wrath for your sins on His cross). Through the name of Jesus Christ you will be saved from the penalty for your sins, which is eternal damnation, hell.

Instead you will receive God’s GRACE, His favor. You will have the remission of your sins and the hope of eternal life, heaven. But first you must call upon the name of the Lord to be saved. How do you call upon the name of the Lord to be saved? How do you do this? It has everything to do with the true meaning of calling upon the name of the Lord to be saved.

Now do you want to be saved? Do you want to go to heaven instead of hell? Do you want to receive God’s grace and avoid His wrath? Do you want God to forgive you instead of condemn you for your sins? Do you believe that Jesus is Lord? Do you know how to call upon His name to be saved? How do you do it?
